Are you prepared for mosquito season this year? #LearnWithOrkin {Giveaway}

The prize will be sent via FedEx or USPS. No P.O. Boxes please. Please note that the assets included within this message were delivered to me to promote Orkin Rollins INC.

It's almost summertime and that means barbecues, gardening, and the occasional water hose fight. (Yes, I still love a good water fight.) There’s one thing no one likes about being outdoors, though: mosquitoes! They not only are a nuisance, but they also pose potentially serious health risks. Fortunately, the experts at Orkin study the science of mosquitoes and other pests closely in order to better tailor plans that help keep them out of your home this summer.

How well do you think you know your mosquito trivia? Take the “Buzzer Beater” quiz below to find out!

Do mosquitoes prefer adults over children? Orkin knows!

Be sure to follow Orkin on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Kids are natural explorers and want to learn about the world around them, but they need to do it safely. Thanks to the great folks at Orkin, one(1) winner will receive a Orkin Summer Scientist Bug Catching Kit! It comes with everything pictured. Enter below. Good luck!
(Each household is only eligible to win Summer Scientist Bug Catching Kit via blog reviews and giveaways. Only one entrant per mailing address per giveaway. If you have won the same prize on another blog, you will not be eligible to win it again. Winner is subject to eligibility verification.)

  1. I took the quiz and I'm not quite ready for my badge. Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. I learned that: Bright colors have not been proven to attract adult mosquitoes, but strong smells like perfumes, scented soaps, and lotions do. Standing water sources and hot exhaled gases also attract mosquitoes.

  3. I got all of them correct. My favorite tip is to get rid of all free standing water near our house. Rosanne

  4. BEAT BY THE BUZZ Uh-oh... still a way to go. Your local Orkin Man is trained to think like a pest, so contact Orkin for a protection plan backed by science and designed just for your home. Guess I still some learning to do.

  5. I took the test and earned my badge!

  6. My favorite tip is use insect killer bulb on our outside lights.
