#DropStop - the Car Seat Gap Filler! {Giveaway} #SharkTank

I was NOT compensated for this post. I received a FREE product to faciliate this review. All thoughts/opinions are my own (or belong to others who helped). Your experience may differ.

When we drive, we always try to keep our eyes on the road. But within 3 seconds of distraction, an accident can happen. Of those killed in distracted-driving-related crashed, 995 involved reports of a cell phone as a distraction (18% of fatalities in distraction-related crashes.) Quite often, it is because their phone - or other items - fell between the seats and center console.

Drop Stop (also featured on Shark Tank) is a patented seat gap filler that creates kind of a barrier between the seat and center console where nothing gets through. As long as you have a center console that is separate from your seat, it can adapt to any car, truck, or SUV. It comes in sets of 2 so that you can put one in next to the driver and one next to the passenger.

So how do you install it? First tilt your seat back to an almost fully extended position (exposing the seat belt catch), and then place Drop Stop over seat belt catch. Now slide down Drop Stop into the gap between middle console and car seat. Once Drop Stop has been installed, adjust your seat to its upright position and slide your chair back and forth until perfect position has been achieved.

It looks great with any color because the casing creates an invisible barrier, so you won't even know it's there. It's super easy to clean just by wiping it with a damp, soapy cloth. Best of all, it could possibly save lives from distracted driving! Be sure to check out their FAQ section.

WHAT WE THOUGHT

I don't have a car (unfortunately) but when I was asked to review Drop Stop, I knew exactly who to go to! My aunt takes care of her granddaughter and drives her around town while her mother works. Because of all the stuff she has in the front seats when they're out, she is always losing food, small toys, and (gasp!) her phone through the seats gaps. She told me last weekend that she even lost her granddaughter's school work one time for about a week. So when I asked her if she'd like to try out Drop Stop for me, she did not hesitate at all.

As far as putting it in, it was relatively easy! She put one in on the driver's side while I put the other on the passenger's side and we were done in less than 2 minutes. It took a little pulling on the Drop Stop to make it fit perfectly, but once it was done, it looked great! (She asked me not to take pictures of her car.) She said that it was comfortable and for a few days, didn't even notice it was there until her one of her cards fell out of her bag and tried to fall into the "abyss". The Drop Stop did it's job! It didn't fall between the seats, and she was able to reach for it without taking her eyes off the road.

Well done, Drop Stop!
