DESCRIPTION
He's had it with his Hollywood persona, the high-maintenance women, and his sleazy agent. To escape the madness, he flees to a tourist town he'd often visited as a child. He never expected to find love on that little island. Then he stumbles upon Lainey alone on the swing set of a deserted beach.

After a dozen internet dating disasters, Lainey Riccardo has given up on romance--until she meets a West Coast hunk who has no trouble winning her heart. But Lainey only knows him as Drew, not the Oscar-nominated actor who's constantly scandalized in the tabloids.

When she learns the truth, will the small town Jersey girl be able to accept Drew's fast-paced life? Or will the truth drive her away forever?

WHAT I THOUGHT
I am a big fan of Laura DeLuca. Her ability to weave love, magic, and personality into every character is rare these days. Having read most of her other books, I was pretty excited to read this one as well.

It starts off with hunky actor Drew DiPalma (or Andy Palmer in the movie biz) wanting to run away from the lights and cameras, at least for a while. So he heads down to the Jersey coast for a little piece and quiet when he runs into Lainey Riccardo, who has had many dating trials and tribulations (which I can totally relate to). So before she has a chance to mace him, he asks her out for coffee because he just can't get past her beautiful looks or the way she carries herself.

Down the road, as Lainey and Drew start to fall for each other, Lainey makes Drew experience things he never would have back in Hollywood like a hay ride, a sling shot, Ferris wheel, and other things that make him question her sanity. But he keeps falling deeply in love. The only problem is that he hasn't told her who he is really is. It eats away at him until it causes more problems than he ever wanted.

I won't tell you anymore because I tend to give it away when I do but I loved the storyline, characters, and the steaminess between Lainey and Drew. Some back characters, like one of Lainey's friends from work, doesn't have much of a personality but the good story and the rest of the characters make up for it.

The only thing keep this from being a 10 is that some parts are kind of lengthy. Other than that, it was fabulous!

DESCRIPTION:
Gabriella and Darron thought their magickal battle was over when they defeated the evil warlock, Richard. When her Aunt Donna seeks Gabriella's help in rescuing her catatonic daughter from the Dark Coven, Gabriella discovers that her cousin holds a power within her that would be catastrophic in the hands of the evil witches. Gabriella's coven sets out on a journey that may be their last. Along the way, they meet new allies, face devastating treachery, and battle not only the Dark Coven, but the darkness within themselves. When Gabriella finally comes face to face with the cousin she never knew existed, her true destiny is unveiled, and the fate of the mortal world is in her hands.

WHAT I THOUGHT:
This is the 2nd book in the Destiny series, and having read the first one, I was ready to dive into Destiny Unveiled!

After having defeat Richard, Darron's father, Gabriella and Darron thought they everything was okay until a long lost aunt (Donna) seeks Gabriella's help in getting Donna's daughter away from the Dark Coven. Instead of leaving behind Darron and her mortal friends, Gabriella and everyone (including Meranda, Donna's other daughter) head off to Miami to fight what could be their last fight ever.

This book is cleverly written with plenty of twists and turn. I rarely give books a full 10 unless I loved it, and I couldn't put this book down! The characters are so well written that you almost feel for them when they have triumphant moments or want to help when failure has befallen them. I know it sounds weird, but in some way, you can connect with each of the characters, even if it's Flora's fascination with the opposite sex.

This is one of those books that as you read, you can see it playing in your mind like a movie. If you enjoy witchy books with quirkiness and humor, the Destiny series is probably for you.

BUY
You can purchase Destiny Unveiled on Amazon in paperback as well as Kindle edition.
