Fight stains thanks to #PurexplusCorox2! {Giveaway}

I received a FREE product to facilitate this review. All thoughts/opinions are my own. Your experience may differ.

When it comes to stains, some detergents get the clothing clean but you can still see parts of the stain. There is nothing more frustrated than washing a shirt several times to try and get the stain out but it doesn't work!

Purex plus Clorox 2 detergent combines the bright clean of Purex with an extra powerful boost of Clorox 2 stain fighters! It works on 100 stains, is safe for colors, and it's bleach free!

It removes starchy stains like chocolate and tomato sauce. It removes protein-based stains like grass and blood. It even removes food stains that use guar gum like ice cream and BBQ sauce!

It's available in 2 fragrances: Original Fresh and Sunny Linen.

WHAT I THOUGHT

My father is notorious for making a mess of his shirt, especially if there is ketchup or mustard involved. (Sorry, Dad!) We've used generic detergents but the stains would still remain, forever ruining a perfectly good shirt. We don't use bleach because Twin is allergic to it, so we would be stuck.

Now, I want to say that we did mess up the shirt on purpose. We wanted to see if Purex plus Clorox 2 would be up to the task of eliminating stains from my dad's shirts. We used [a little too much] ketchup and a smidgen of mustard. Because we knew that ketchup and mustard stains and pretty hard to get out, we pre-treated by putting some Purex plus Clorox 2 on the stain, and letting it sit for bout 5-10 minutes. Then we washed it as we normally would.

Not only were the stains completely gone, the shirt was brighter than it had ever been! Seriously, in the before picture, you can see it's kind of grungy (even when it was clean before we made the stains). In the after picture, the shirt looks SO much cleaner than it ever has!

Forget the bleach! I'm keeping Purex plus Clorox 2 on standby if I need a good stain-fighting detergent!
