A few days ago, I mentioned that we would be heading to Nature in Lights again this year on Thanksgiving night. Yep, we made the trip!
We made it!
While the sun doesn't actually go down until about 6pm here in Central Texas, we left about 4pm because we were super bored and just ready to go. The trip up there was fun. We had music, snacks, and tons of conversation to keep us occupied. But when we finally go onto the road we had to go down, the sun was still up. Now, I didn't know this, but in area of Bell County, they allow free range cattle. I kid you not- we went down a road (because we had to turn around) and it was near the Ft. Hood base, and there was a cow in the middle of the road! The cow stopped, looked at us, started walking across the road. I've seen cows at farms but never saw cattle near a military base!
But the sun finally went down and we made our way to BLORA, and it was a lot of fun! I am so thankful that we were able to enjoy it- even Mom!
