Mom doesn't have many pictures of us around the house (with only 1 picture in the living room)  because either we haven't gotten around to it or we fear that another house fire (like the one we had in 2001 in another part of town) will take away those memories. But I thought Mom deserved the best gift we could get her! She's not a jewelry peson and flowers wilt at the first sign of Texas heat, even if it's only 90* outside.

When I found out that I would be reviewing an 11"x14" Hand Drawn Pencil Sketch from Photos from My DaVinci, I was super excited! I had no trouble choose the picture I was going to use because Twin liked it, and I thought it conveyed our love for not only our Mom, but each other as well. Getting a little off topic, sorry. Anyways, I didn't have to crop another or edit anything. I chose which picture I think would look best. Once I uploaded the picture and sent it off to be drawn, it didn't take long for them to send me a message, asking for my approval of the final product. So you actually get to approve of your drawing (or any other art you choose) before they finalize it and send it off.

This is an actual sketch from what I suspect is charcoal! It isn't made on some computer and sent on printed paper. It's actually drawn onto professional drawing paper and when you touch it, the stuff from the pencil is visible on your finger! And if you tilt the portrait, you can see individual markings from the artist! Not only that, the artist signs the back of each drawing!

And if you have blemishes (like I did), it doesn't show up on the portrait! It seemed as if the artist took the time to clean up the pictures, and make it look really good!

I can't wait to see Mom's face when it she gets it on Mother's Day!
