Java Bites Review & Giveaway

For many Americans, coffee is a must every morning. It helps them wake up and be more alert for the day ahead. But for me, I like the smell of coffee; I just don't like the taste of it. In my defense, I will say that I have wondered why no one has ever thought of combining my favorite dessert (cookies) and caffeine together.

Thanks to Stir Crazy Creations and the Java Bites Espresso Cookie lineup, that have actually done just that! Believe it or not, they include espresso and other coffees into the cookie itself! From the back of the box: "We start with organic, shade-grown, coarsely ground, espresso-roasted Arabica beans.". They also blend espresso beans into the specially formulated cookie dough.

Chocolate Chip Espresso

If you're worried that it's a cookie that only tastes like coffee, don't be! They have several great flavors including Almond Mocha, Chocolate Chip Espresso, Cinnamon Cappuccino, White Chocolate Mocha Latte, and White Chocolate Vanilla Latte. After one of these cookies, you will be heading to your nearest Starbucks just so that you can continue tasting that delicious coffee!

These yummy cookies also have somewhat of a healthy kick to them! A 2-pack of cookies (serviing size) is only 100 calories, and the cookies are all natural with no preservatives! So if you feel like you need another 2-cookie pack, take one! You could always use the excuse that you need more caffeine to get through the day.

WHAT I THOUGHT
I am a lover of cookies and caffeine. I know it will cause a sugar buzz like no other, but sometimes I can't help have them at the same time. So when I found out that someone actually put the 2 together, I had to try them!

We were out of caffeine the day these came so I was feeling a little sluggish. Since we get our mail kinda early (around 10) in the morning, I couldn't help but dig in. While there were samples of the other flavors, I had to try the White Chocolate Vanilla Latte. I will say that these taste NOTHING like coffee! You can taste the coffee a little, but it surely tastes like a cookie! It wasn't overly sweet, but nice and crunchy. There was a perfect combination of sugar, coffee, and white chocolate.

These are so addicting! I had to have 4 cookies. Not long after eating them and I had enough time to digest them, I could feel the caffeine seeping into my blood. But it wasn't like I was wide-eyed and ready to run to every house and ask to clean. But it was subtle enough to where I was alert and able to get cleaning or work done.

Yep- I will most likely buy more of these. They'll come in handy on those late nights working.
