Lumnique Review

Another popular Valentine’s Day novelty, besides candy and flowers, are candles! I love candles. Scented or non-scented. Big, tall, fat, round, skinny, shaped, or glittered. I love the look of candles on a cold winter’s night or during a thunderstorm. But wouldn’t it be cool if you could kind of personalize the candle you want?

Lumnique lets you customize your candles with a variety of colors and scents. So what do you have to do? Well, first off you choose the Intent of your candle. You can choose from a variety such as Good Luck, Valentine’s Day, Abundance, Apology, or Just Because. You have 29 Intents to choose from. Then you get to choose your color. With 14 colors to choose from, you will find the perfect color that you like. With color names such as Wine, Flame, Royal, and Pure, it will make it sound much more exciting than just a “red” candle. Then you choose your fragrance. You have your choice of 3 different categories: Citrus/Floral, Floral/Aromatherapy, and Nature/Spice/Cuisine. 

Citrus/Floral features scents like Cherry Kiss, Strawberry Fields, and Green Tea Lemongrass. Floral/Aromatherapy has scents decadent scents such as Cedar, Rose, and Enchanting Patchouli. Or you can try Pumpkin, Cookies for Santa, or Sinfully Rich Chocolate from Nature/Spice/Cuisine.

But you’re not done ordering yet! Next, you have to choose a gift set. You can choose from the Deluxe Gift Set, which includes your candle, Lumnique gift box, matchbox, and the Customized Certificate. The Standard Gift set includes your customized candle and Customized Certificate. After you have finished choosing your gift set, then you can personalize the Customized Certificate with your name, the recipient’s name, and a personalized message!

WHAT I THOUGHT

I was able to review a Deluxe Gift Set. For my candle, I chose the color Bliss (which is a nice pink) and the fragrance of Pink Rose Wine. When I opened the gift box, everything was nestled in little spaces and the matches were under the Customized Certificate. The candle was so pretty! It smelled divine, and when lit, it was made you feel all warm and fuzzy. I’m glad it came with 2 wicks because with 1 wick, its hard get an even melt but with 2 wicks, it melts evenly. 

When lit, the candle just looked so nice and the room was soon bursting with a sweet scent. It kind of smelled like a rose wine, which made me want find some rose wine for a glass. In the pictures, I took a pink sheet we had so that you can be focused on the candle instead of the background. Isn’t it pretty?  My other favorite thing, besides the pretty candle? It came with matches! No more tipping the candle so that I can get the lighter to hit the wicks!

I try to burn it every day but will try to save some for Valentine’s Day. There’s no law saying a single gal can’t burn a candle for herself on Valentine’s Day!
