Get rid of stains easily with Fels-Naptha! (Review & Giveaway)

I was NOT compensated for this review/giveaway. I received a FREE bar of Fels-Naptha to review. All thoughts/opinions are my own. Your experience may differ.

When it comes to laundry, stains can either be your worst enemy or just an annoyance. But it doesn't always have to feel like that!

For over 100 years, Purex Fels-Naptha is a laundry bar that works overtime to remove your toughest stains. Whether it is dirt, grease, or ring-around-the-collar,  bar of Purex Fels-Naptha can clean up the mess.

Even better, it is really easy to use! Just rub the stain with a wet bar of Fels-Naptha and wait a couple of minutes. Then wash your clothes as you normally would and say goodbye to tough stains for good.

Use Fels-Naptha as a laundry booster! Finely grate 1/2 of the bar (use less for smaller or less soiled loads) into the washer, fill washer with water, and agitate for several minutes before adding clothing. If you search online for other uses, you'll find people have used it as a household cleaner, poison ivy treatment (But you should know that Fels-Naptha can cause skin irritation.), and even deer repellent!

Getting rid of stains doesn't have to involve calling in reinforcements. Just give Fels-Naptha laundry bar a try!

You can follow Purex on Facebook and Twitter.

WHAT I THOUGHT
Let me just start off by saying that if you have ever lived with a man, you know how dirty and greasy their clothes can get. Even if you ask them to be sure careful (because grease stains are a pain to deal with), they still end up dirty!

I sometimes do my Dad's laundry, especially lately, since he has been working on the car. I know some spots are car grease. I've gotten enough on my own hands and clothes to know the difference. (Yep- I am a woman that knows my way around an engine!) But there are other stains I can't quite identify and not sure I want to. So when I do his laundry, I feel like soaking all of his clothes in stain remover just to get rid of those stubborn stains. Of course I don't, but sure felt like it before I tried Purex Fels-Naptha!

Since car grease is a lot different from pizza or cooking grease, I rubbed the wet bar over the stains, rubbed the soap into the stain (on both sides), and let it sit for about 30 minutes. I washed like I normally would, and voila, the stains are less prominent! Luckily, those are his car clothes so I don't have to worry about getting them super-super clean.

I know I am guilty to spilling soda or even sauce on my clothes and sometimes, I forget to immediately treat the stains. Bad thing to do, I know. After treating the stains a day later with Fels-Naptha, you would never even know there were stains! I love this stuff! I haven't used it as a laundry booster yet, but I will next time I do laundry.

Oh, and it is super cheap- less than $2 at Walgreens!

  2. My college son lives at home and boxes when he isn't studying. So he has some pretty sweaty grimy workout clothes that have their share of stains. He does his own laundry, but if I see some grime that doesn't come out in the wash, I use the extra help of stain removers. I haven't used Fels Naptha before, but am also looking for good effective methods of getting stains out of our clothing.
