It's Summertime and that means great food, which includes grilling steak,
baking potato dishes, and fried treats. Instead of wasting time at the store,
looking for a sauce or dip that just sounds so ordinary, there is actually a
place where you can get all of that in one spot!
Terrapin Ridge Farms products award-winning products for which they are known. With their incredible array of
dips, sauces, and gift collections, you are bound to find something that will
tickle your taste buds.
Chips & dip are pretty much a staple for every party, even grilling
parties. But don't think that you have to read for the bean or even onion dip
just because your store doesn't have much variety. They have a great array of
Dips and Dip Mixes. For a dip that surprises you while kicking the spice up a
notch, give the Mango Cucumber Habanero Dip a whirl! The sweetness from the
mango and the spiciness from the habanero peppers will have you wanting more.
For something that isn't as spicy, you can also go for the Asiago CheeseSpinach Dip Mix. Asiago cheese adds a nice nutty flavor to the classic spinach
dip.
For those who are grilling and want a flavor that isn't "just
BBQ", take a peek at their Gourmet Sauces. Why not put some Hot PickledPepper Burger Topper on top of those burgers? With 3 different types of peppers
(banana, chipotle, and jalapeno), your burgers will have some zing! If you want
something tasty to go with that grilled chicken, pour on some Apple Dill &Rosemary Sauce. It's made with real apple juice, grainy mustard, dill, and
rosemary, making it a unique sauce for your grilled favorites. For dessert, we
can't forget the Chocolate Coconut Sauce/Dip poured over ice cream or your
favorite decadent desert. Not sure what to put on that cobbler? See what they
have in their Sweet Toppings selection!
Really not that inspired to create a dish but want to try your hand

WHAT I THOUGHT
Since it's Summertime, my family is always making good food and going out
the park to eat. What we usually do is make it at home and then just packing it
all up. And since Mom has a new lease on life, it's almost Father's Day, as
well as Mom's birthday, we decided to make June the month to celebrate!
So when I found out that I would be reviewing sauces and dips from Terrapin
Ridge, I had to come up with a menu for each picnic- otherwise, it would turn
out to just be a mess. I took a picture of the sauces themselves, since I have no
idea how to photograph food and make it look appetizing. Anyways, we made
BBQ Chicken, baked potatoes, fish fillets, and of course, chips to go with our
dip.
Creamy Chipotle Pepper Dip- This one is definitely my favorite! I pretty much ate it with everything,
but it tastes oh-so-good with grilled cheese! Just dip the grilled cheese in
there for a nice spicy sandwich. The dip itself is creamy, rich, spicy (It does
get very spicy towards the bottom of the jar), and, in my opinion, addictive.
Bleu Cheese Sauce- This is originally a steak sauce. But we don't eat steak at home, so I
found other uses for it. It tastes great in a hot rice dish, as long as you don't
put it a lot. It does have soy sauce, so if you use a lot, it can taste kinda
salty. But there are bits and pieces of crumbly bleu cheese that just melt
perfectly into the sauce when you warm it up before pouring. It also tastes
great with baked potatoes. It was a little too salty for me, but since I kind
of have sodium problems, it really wasn't the sauce's fault.
Moroccan Date Sauce- We make BBQ chicken with this and oh my goodness, talk about sweet and
savory chicken! It was better than any other BBQ chicken I've ever had. It
sauce itself was sweet and a little tangy. It actually had little bits of dates
studded in the sauce, which gave it a nice texture as well.
Cilantro Lime Ranch Dressing- Most people use ranch dressing for salads, right? We actually poured a
little over our fish fillets and fish sandwiches, which gave them such a tangy
flavor! Lime and lemon goes well with seafood anyway, right? Well, this made
the fish taste so great, we wanted more. I love the sauce because you can
actually taste the lime and cilantro. With some ranch dressings, the flavor can
fall flat or even be overbearing. This one was just perfect.
We're having tons of fun this summer, and our food is tasting great now!
