Stella West's artistic talent made her the toast of London, but when her beloved sister dies under mysterious circumstances she abandons everything and heads for Boston. With single-minded determination she fights to pierce the ring of secrecy surrounding her sister's death. Upon meeting Romulus White, a publisher with connections into every important power circle in the city, she quickly realizes he could be a valuable ally in navigating Boston society.

Romulus has been pursuing Stella for years to create art for his magazine. Her luminous illustrations are the missing piece he needs to propel his magazine to the forefront of the industry, and he will stop at nothing to get her on board.

Sparks fly the instant they join forces, but Romulus is unsettled by the unwelcome attraction he feels toward Stella, fearing she might be the one woman who could disrupt his hard-won independence. He may have finally met his match in Stella, but is helping her solve the mystery of her sister's death worth the risk to his publishing empire?

Before having the chance to read From This Moment, I have never read one of Elizabeth Camden's books, and now I wish I had known about her before! WOW! The cover is absolutely stunning and the description pulled me in. It was a stunning work of words, love, anguish, and plot twists. I really had no clue what was coming next, and I couldn't put it down!

Set in the late 1890's, Stella West (whose real last name Westergaard), is a talented artist from London, but decides to move to Boston because she believes Gwendolyn's, her sister, death was not an "accident" as the police and medical examiner put down on the death certificate. She believes something more sinister was the culprit and she aims to find out exactly what happened.

At the same time, publisher of Scientific Weekly magazine , Romulus White, who has claimed he will remain a bachelor until age forty, is smitten with Stella's art so he invites her to come work with him at the magazine. But he's in for more than he bargained for not only because of her personality, but because she coerces him into helping her find out what happened to her sister.

Sparks fly, but they aren't ready to let love get in their way.

There is also a side story of Evelyn (Romulus's cousin), and Clyde (Evelyn's estranged husband). Their marriage had been asunder ever since Evelyn thought Clyde couldn't take care of her. But after a subway-building accident leaves Clyde deaf, can they repair their marriage and find love once again?

I LOVED this book. The only thing keep it from a perfect 10 is a few parts dragged on, which slowed down the reading in a chapter or two. But seriously, this is one to read!
